Showcasing Ice Pigging in Finland
On Wednesday 5th February, our Operations Director, Dr Tim Deans, presented at the Finnish Society for Trenchless Technologies (FISTT) conference.
Our innovative Ice Pigging technology is now used all around the world. From helping to clean water pipe systems, to keeping factories clear of biofilm build up, Ice Pigging has a number of applications and is incredibly versatile.
To showcase this technology and our team of experts, we were invited by contacts in Finland to present at this well-attended conference as a way of introducing a new audience to the capabilities of Ice Pigging.

Attendees included water municipalities from Finland, industry experts, process engineers and water treatment managers.
Tim did an excellent job of explaining the basic principles of Ice Pigging and why it is beneficial over convention pipe-cleaning methods. We were also able to showcase some “local” work with a case study of Ice Pigging for Watercom in Estonia.
We had some brilliant questions from the panel, and the conference offered the perfect opportunity to catch up and discuss Ice Pigging and the Finnish market with the highly regarded expert in her field, Ritta Virtanen, who supports us with Ice Pigging enquiries in Finland.

A special thank you to FISTT for inviting us - we are always on the lookout for more opportunities to spread the word about Ice Pigging and to showcase the work which our dedicated team of experts are consistently providing.
As a result of the conference we are now looking forward to meetings with Finnish companies who expressed an interest in extending the life of their pipe networks, or are looking to provide the highest quality of water with ’no dig’ solutions, as well as reducing the need for ‘breaks in containment’ (pipe systems) that then require chemical treatments before reverting back to drinking water supply. All of which we can support with our Ice Pigging technology.
